Statement

Owen’s photographs are suspended somewhere between metamorphosis and reincarnation. The images are uncanny, spooky, and mysterious. In her most recent projects, “Trophies” and “Natural Curiosities” Owen examines expired animals and insects with a scientist-like curiosity and a creative wonder. 

In 2003, she earned a Bachelor of Fine Art Photography from College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan. Owen has shown her work both nationally and internationally.
