Rose Rigley

My current arts practice considers the elusive notion of memory and is driven by concept and process. With an affinity for creating in series, my works cross a variety of media depending on the intended outcome required including mixed media and encaustic, sculptural and installation, artist books and printmaking.

In recent works, books become the material in my process as I deconstruct and re-assemble these structures. The new forms become symbols of past, present and future, reinvented vessels for the storage and conveyance of memory.
