My thoughts have always existed in the place where the two worlds of light and dark collide. I'm constantly struck by the sheer beauty of life, while simultaneously being aware of the fragility and darker side of it, always maintaining a balance. And, as our lives unfold before us by way of circumstance, choice and chance, I believe that there are mysteries surrounding all of us on a daily basis, throwing these notions off balance. I have a deep interest in wildlife and the patterns existing in nature, as well as those that continually reveal themselves in my own life. I'm additionally interested in concepts such as intuition, perception and time. Although these concepts are where I derive much of my inspiration from, it's my attempt to create evocative images that are open to interpretation.
In the last 3 years, I've made the transition from shooting slide film to digital photography. Any manipulaton still occurs at the actual time that I take the photos.
