Temporary Black Space
It is a reality born in 2008, acting as collective subject, artist and curator, creating networks of temporary collaborations.
TBS based its research on the idea of useful: from the relation with the concept of place, seen in terms of environmental specificity and audience involvement, to collective and non-authorial works.
Regarding itself as a system living on urgencies, it aims at taking a position towards everyday mechanisms and superstructures, by individuating meaningful frameworks through which to conceive art, culture and social relationships. TBS is a project willing to avoid a univocal identity, researching and producing significant contexts.
Every time the meaning of a discussion depends on the fundamental value of the word “useful”, that is to say, every time the essential issue regarding life of human societies is approached, whoever the participants and represented opinions are, it is possible to claim that the discussion is necessarily distorted and the fundamental issue dodged.
