I derive my inspiration from my own life, the relationship between nature, people and culture. Drawing from my personal experiences as well as from my observations of society at large, my work reflects peculiarities of life as an Iranian immigrant as well as general issues common to immigrants across the globe.
In contrast to my previous abstract paintings, I stripped off the colors and examined the potential of materials and forms as a process of self-expression. This allowed me to expand the idea via its own merit without incorporating any color.
I endeavor to explore and hone the feel of my works from the free and unprompted style of the past to a more rhythmic simplicity.
Inspired by organic forms, I employ them as the base of my work to express various concepts. Cardboards and papers have been my essential tools to enhance the recognition of organic forms through my paintings.
