I live and work in the beautiful mountains of south-western Virginia. I draw inspiration from my daily surroundings, whether they are beautiful riverside views or objects around the house. Art has been a central part of my life since childhood, my educational study culminated in a Masters of Fine Arts degree conferred in 2010 from Radford University.
My work has been exhibited in the Covington Fine Arts Museum, the Fine Arts Center for the New River Valley, XYZ Gallery, the Little Gallery in Moneta, Uptown Gallery in Richmond, and the Brooklyn Art Library in New York. My paintings are housed in the permanent collection of the Radford University Art Museum and in private collections across the United States, from North Carolina to New York.
I am a member of the College Art Association, ‘Round the Mountain Southwest Virginia’s Artisan Network, Graduate Art Student Association and a participant in the 2012 Sketchbook Project: Limited Edition. In addition to watercolors she creates hand-painted silk scarves, jewelry, pastel paintings and metal wall sculpture. Currently Iteach drawing, painting and watercolor for Concord University in West Virginia and offer art workshops in south-western Virginia area.
