Statement
Georgia Sagri was born in Athens in 1979. She lives and works in New York. She has participated in the 2012 Whitney Biennial, and recent exhibitions include: Georgia Sagri/Performance, Lars Friedrich, Berlin; Antigone Model, xyz Outlet, Athens; OWEN, Socrates Sculpture Garden FLOAT, NY; Live Portfolio, Grand Openings: Return of the Blogs, MoMa, NY; Μοντέλο της Αντιγόνης, Antigone Model, Real Fine Arts, ΝΥ; Mask / Species of Politics, The Luminous Interval: The D. Daskalopoulos Collection, Guggenheim Bilbao; MASSAGE, Andrew Roth Gallery, ΝΥ. She is a founding member of It’s Our Pleasure To Serve You with Adele Roeder, Kerstin Braetsch and Allison Katz, and she is also co-editor with Jaqueline Carpenter and Catherine Czacki of a sound journal, Magazine Forte, launched in September 2009.
