"As a painter, I use digital tools to build large-scale collages, temporal and spatial constructs that offer the viewer different levels of understanding, experience and perception.Trained in theatre and film, My relation to time, space, desire, reality, cosmos and chaos are influenced by theatricality and cinema and their modes of development and composition. In my work, I often talk about the brain’s structure, and build holograms, mental artifacts and dynamic projections that emerge from silence and busyness, and merge the fictional and the real. I understand the real as a vast matrix, and I treat space as a dimensional organization of semantic units that I multiply and arrange to compose large-scale movements and orchestrated landscapes.
My works are organic, gestural responses to the ubiquity of digital mediation. Through narrative and abstract representation, these works portray a reality saturated with functional configurations that echo structures and situations from the real world. I engage both my palette and the extension of spatiality on their own terms, confronting my medium as a set of questions, practically answered through the production of individual paintings, series, or generic concepts."
