Paul Damian Armesto is the author of the mural paintings at St. Brigid's Church (2014) and St.John the Baptist Church (2012) both in New York City, and large murals in three other churches in Costa Rica: Tres Ríos (2002-2004), Bagaces (2011) and San Diego (2008-2010) where he painted one of the largest oil paintings ever: over 50 yards long. Born on December 14th 1973 in Boulogne-Billancourt, France, he expressed his interest in art from an early age. During several trips to Quiberon, Brittany, he developed a love for seascapes and 18th century classical themes. After academic art studies he sought to perfect his oil painting technique through the traditional teachings of a master celebrated classical painter Alberto Ycaza (1945-2002). Paul Damian has had several solo exhibits and has painted other murals and canvases for hotels and private individuals always seeking to recover the classical values of western art.
