I watch a nude model for a moment, look at the empty paper of the sketchbook, and quickly draw her.I sketch a few lines with a black pen until capturing her essential feeling. These lines are simple and spontaneous, but it is enough to convey my expression.

The more I observe her, the simpler my drawing becomes. My eyes look carefully at her entire figure, and find a curve that is necessary to reveal her pose. This line alternates between thick and thin like her body line, and the tonality of the black ink changes smoothly. This natural variation in one swing allows me to use a small number of lines to finish a picture.

Each line is designed carefully, but quickly. I create the next stroke before the previous one sinks into the paper. The ink on the nib meets the wet ink on the paper, and the blended ink produces an unpredictable plane. Also, the movement of the pen is sometimes interrupted by the uneven surface of the paper, which causes small, random dots.
