Think green, eat green, use every Color.
Who I am: 1) A Reactive Impro’vist. 2) Performance Artist 3) Videographer 4) photographer, and last... 5) observing life and recording my thoughts with paint and words. TIME RELEASED PERFORMANCES are the culminating experiences I hope to continue to achieve. I strongly believe in taking what is learned and sharing it with following generations. It is my hope to continue to do these projects through the core curriculum and based on LITERACY. All ideas begin and end with writing.
I was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphatic Leukemia in 2003, acquired, I believe from working a few buildings from the former World Trade Center just a few months after they "came down". At Ground Zero, I helped to create the full structure of "Education After 3" an after school program" for 2 High Schools: The H.S. for Leadership and Public Service, and The H.S. for Economics and Finance. These students were first-hand witnesses to an historic tragedy - they looked up, rather than across town or to TV to see this monumental disaster. They were quickly identified as an "at risk" group of young people. "Education After 3" was started so that these young victims could begin to deal with personal issues related to their trauma. They wrote plays, acted, performed cultural dances, and music and created fashions from South East Asia and many other places around the world, that represent our diverse culture worth sharing in a dynamically and positively charged environment. With gallery shows and other events worthy of a good resume BEFORE graduation H.S., I wish these young people good health, prosperity and happiness. Though I cannot be exposed to the dangers of infectious germs, I prepare for a return to the real field in life... one full of plants and students; as I begin to paint my cancer close up and personal to show the outer beauty of something that is actually toxic... using my biomorphic, Speed Element paints.
