Currently a student at Cal State Long Beach, I am pursuing a Bachelor's of Fine Arts Degree with an emphasis in drawing and painting and aspire to be a fine arts teacher or professor when I am done with school. I have been drawing and painting since I can remember, and my artwork has been recognized both at state and local levels in several art contests and shows. I was recognized in local newspapers as one of Esperanza High's Four Top Seniors (in the categories of Academics, Community Service, Athletics, and Arts) and graduated from the Ryman Arts Program for Young Artists at USC with honors. Most recently, several of my paintings were showcased in the annual Undergraduate Student show at CSULB, which I helped to set up and organize. I have completed several commissioned projects for friends and relatives, including album covers, paintings, tattoo designs, and others. I am inspired by everyday life, dreams, thoughts, and the world around me. My work is almost completely photorealistic, with an emphasis in contrast and color saturation. I love to evoke awe in the viewer. Although a relatively young artist, I believe that I have a strong voice and love to express it through my work and share it with others.
