Inter disciplinary artist, writer, curator Marcus Kuiland-Nazario
is one of the many founding artists of The 18th Street Arts Center, Highways Performance Space
and Clean Needles Now. Marcus is a co
founder of the MAX10 performance laboratory at the Electric Lodge
and curator/producer of the 12 year old multi site live art lab - Pop Tarts based @
Highways Performance Space.
He is a member of the Performing Arts Committee of the City of Santa Monica's Arts Commission
and a former contributor to the LA WEEKLY.

Venue Highlights include LACE, Highways, The Mark Taper Forum, Crazyspace, Dangerous Curve,
The Lab, Safari Sam's, Als'Bar, REDCAT at the Disney Concert Hall, USC, UCLA, PS122,
The 18th Street Arts Center, The Knitting Factory (LA), ICA London (twice), Platinum Oasis,
Track 16, Irrational Exhibits, Mania for Cole Slaw, the international Rompeforma Festival in San Juan,
Puerto Rico and in the streets, clubs, bars and buses of his beloved city of Los Angeles.

He has taught at Otis college of Art and Design (with Stephen Callis), Highways Performance Space, CSUN
(with Elia Arce), Beyond Baroque Literary Foundation (with Denise Uyehara), Santa Monica Alternative
Schoolhouse, Virginia Avenue Park, Clean Needles Now and Continuation Schools in East Los Angeles
through the HeArt Project.

Currently he is coordinator of Participant/Observer creative services Community Liaison for
Community Arts Resources (CARS)
