Artist Statement
My work is an attempt to make tangible, visible and beautiful the relationships I see between things of interest to me. My current concern is the relationship between art and architecture. The work consists of and is profoundly influenced by the timeless visual intelligence of nature and man's art historical endeavors to express ideas and create new kinds of space while discreetly utilizing to some degree, the acquired artworks of others, along with my own past works in their entirety or as remnants, thus blurring the line of authorship.
It is through the digital 'sampling' of these components which I consider a form of mock-graffiti, that I am able to express, process, connect, incorporate, manipulate and recompose into unique, personal and exploratory artworks and to fulfill a desire that I have to occupy the historical proximity to that which influences me. In so doing I find I am better able to converse with nature and as a byproduct I both find and lose myself.

Lives and works in Portland, Oregon
Sometimes an artist's work needs to simmer, to percolate for some time in order to speak more clearly. Life circumstances sometimes prevent artists from meeting the right people at opportune times and can affected when the work enters the scene. Such as been the case with my mature art, a hybrid of my traditional medium and digital approaches. Today the work is ready to enter into the public realm and I am prepared to professionally represent it the best I can, working as part of a team with a gallery willing to take me and my art on to promote it to those whose lives it could enrich.
