I’d been painting since childhood. I’d always been interested in painting portraits, figures and the environment around me. My medium has been oil, watercolor, mixed media and I have interest in pursuing installation arts. My recent works has been almost autobiographical. It denotes places I had been to, and places where I lived --- especially in the Philippines. Sometimes, it’s almost like dreamlike and sometimes, it’s very vivid depending on how I feel at that particular environment. I believe that each places that we’d been to evokes a certain response to us personally and that could be really different for each individual. My work tries to capture those fleeting moments. In some pieces, my background as an architect and set designer influences the way I put details in my work.
