With regard to my photography, I can only say this: I learned, long ago, that the images most meaningful to me are the ones to which I'm emotionally connected. Whether the subject is a flower, a brick wall, or an anchor, it is my emotional and not my intellectual response that leads to dynamic images.  We all have an intellectual response to art, but it's the emotions we feel when viewing a painting, sculpture or photograph, that burn deepest within our psyches.  Art without emotion is mathematics.
