I studied with Anthony Ivins at Chaffey Junior College. Tony introduced me to the work of Peter Voulkos. After applying for a scholarship to the Los Angeles County Art Institute (Otis Art Institure) I was accepted and began my studies in Fine Arts and majored in ceramics from 1956 to 1960.
When Voulkos left in 1958. I studied with Helen Richter Watson. All of my instructors were masters at their craft and this was the best learning experience in my life.
Because they instilled in me a passion for the art, media and process, I am continually inspired.
I showed at Space Gallery in Los Angeles for 19 years and recently showed at Edenhurst Gallery in Palm Desert. January 2008. Currently I have vessel forms on consignment at Edenhurst Gallery.
Member of Silica Studios in Palm Springs since April 2006. Silica Studios is a terrific full function ceramic studio. My studio work is sculptural and some are based on a vessel form, but they are primarily non-functional,
