I perceive the work on the body as a new theatricality. I reintroduce into the painting the notions of time, transience and living. My work relies on four main modes of expression: painting, drawing, photography and video, which work in cycles and enrich one another. The video acts as a documentary fiction of the work of JMQ and its interaction with bodies. It fits into the pictorial work itself, interacting with the painting to give birth to a new synthesis between painting and video.
