"Russian Art Week" International Exhibition & Competition

Hi. Welcome to the "Russian Art Week" International Exhibition & Competition of Contemporary Arts, which will be held in Moscow (27 September-3 October, 2009) and St. Petersburg (6-11 October, 2009). There are two ways to participate for the competition – online (IN ABSENTIA) and in person (INTERNAL WAY). Hello Francis,
I had the pleasure to read your review of de Chirico's exhibit in Paris of last month, I very much enjoyed your perspective and criticism. I've been an admirer of de Chirico and for years I would see his wonderful pieces in books and once I had the opportunity to travel to London in 2003, there was a retrospective exhibition at a small gallery, and I couldn't believe how small in scale he painted. Although, I love his early works. His content is strong, perhaps if he had painted larger canvases they would be even more monumental. I appreciate your opinions about his painting style and technique, which may not seem painterly, yet he offered so much value for the surrealists painters thereafter....anyways, really fascinating to read your input. I will make sure to read your new reviews. You are a great critic!

Re the juried showcase - In the comments boxes some people say that they have voted and go on to ask for a vote in return. Often it appears that the same message is cut and pasted into as many profiles as possible. I appreciate that people are trying get as much exposure as possible. Do you have any thoughts on this?
