Born to Manhattan transplants in St. Louis, Missouri, Nordeen relocated to Los Angeles to attend the California Institute of the Arts in Photography and Media studies. His multi channel video work merges original and source footage in psychodrama narratives. He earned his BFA in 2005 and became active in the online world of film criticism and blogging. After launching Being Boring, an online contribution to contemporary film criticism, he was hired to develop the film compendium to the social networking site Flukiest. He has served as a staff member for X-TRA, a contemporary art quarterly and was published in various catalogues and journals throughout California. Fever Pitch, a collection of essays on pop icons will be published in August of 2008.
