Statement

I am an artist.  I have been a painter for more than 25 years, and have

recently begun to explore photography.  I have designed hand painted

fabrics and wall covering collections; specialized as a paint colorist

and at one time I was a gallery owner.  Each experience has added a new

layer to my creative vision and perception.

Armed with new inspiration, sparked while reading a passage from Italo

Calvino's book Invisible Cities, I set off on a creative journey and made a

decision to be more observant.

I will stop and look. I will listen. And then, perhaps, in return, my

world will reveal some of its secrets. Secrets contained beneath surfaces;

tucked inside cracks. Untold stories that quietly hum in the space between

now and the things we left behind.

Within my series of photographs I hope you will discover messages woven in

moments when the world around me whispered her story.

My work has been collected privately, and exhibited locally, in places such

as the Greenburgh Nature Center, the Greenburgh Town Hall, the Heritage

Frame Shop, Hennessy Home Accents, Warner Library Fitzgerald Gallery, the

Rockefeller State Park Preserve Art Gallery, the New City Library, the

Haverstraw Youth Theatre, the Westchester Art Workshop, and The New York

Hall of Science Museum.

Though my formal degree is in business management, my heart and passion

live in the arts. I reside in Tarrytown, New York with my two daughters, as

well as our pup named Lucky, and Lulu, a spunky little blue bird.
