I’m a commercial photographer with several years of experience working closely with professionals in fashion, product design and interiors. My primary focus in on architecture and fashion photography and promotional spreads. My personal work includes a variety of interests including landscapes, concerts, and abstracted ideas.
I spent my formative years in New York and Chicago before heading west to Denver and Los Angeles. On top of that, my travels have taken me through almost four-fifths of the country, much of it by motorcycle. Shooting from that perspective, I’ve often thought of my photographs as attempts to capture what I call “the poetry of the mundane” – little moments that somehow bring life’s “big picture” into a sharper focus.
I’m typically attracted to graphic elements, colors, shapes and tones that provide the eye with the freedom to roam throughout a composition. But the myriad ways a given subject can interact with the light in a scene and evoke a feeling is what defines and amplifies that interest most often for me.
