Molly Dierks

I think of myself as more of an investigator than an artist. I am interested in media that represent contemporary material culture. I intend for my pieces to reveal how man-made production systems evidence cultural beliefs about consumption and reproduction. Through my work, I hope to make evident widespread assumptions about gender roles that are embedded in our material systems. The pieces I make are usually humorous, subversive, and playful.
