Statement

My paintings depict imaginary landscapes, projections of my heart and mind.

Both ancient Daoists and modern physicists have shown that space and time are fluid, matter and energy are equivalent, and reality is paradoxical. My paintings are visual explorations of these ideas; they celebrate AMBIGUITY and transience. 

My paintings are also influenced by decades of studying traditional Chinese and Japanese paintings, an endless source of inspiration.
