I have been choosing … s i l e n c e … as the subject of my paintings since 2004in an attempt to grasp what is often a result of meditation or contemplation – the undisturbed inner peace.
This silence helps me find the balance with my inner soul, get rid off the thoughts, information, noise which invade us constantly every day. It strengthens my concentration, helps to let go of the useless matters from our mind and keep only the valuable and inspiring ones. Owing to this wonderful silence we are able to reach the great state of contemplation, the blissful state which soothes our soul, body and mind.
The purpose of my activity is to bring this state closer. Through the use of composition and harmony of colours I seek to create this soothing state and engender it in the spectator.
My main source of inspiration lies in nature, however what I paint is rather a state of mind than the real world.
