After graduating from the University of Calgary with a BA in Linguistics in 1999, I steadily diverged into working with Artist Run Centers and public non-collecting institutions in Calgary, Alberta. After an internship with the Art Institute of Chicago gave me the incentive to move and set the graduate wheels in motion, I completed my MA in Art History Theory & Criticism at SAIC inĀ 2011.
My primary interest is in space as a critical practice, a topic that provokes readings about preemptive space, forensic architecture, and just generally reading critical theory about space and the built environment. I'm also invested in conversations between art and architecture and the increasing intersections and subversions between the two.
