I was born in Paris, France and raised in the Maryland suburbs of Washington, D.C. I moved to Los Angeles, California when I was in my late-Thirties. I spent most of my working life in libraries and received a Master's degree in Library Sciences from the University of Maryland in 1994. In late 2007 I went on disability. Since then I've devoted myself to my first love, art.
Photography is my medium - digital images that I sometimes manipulate in Photoshop. As one artist, who I highly respect put it, "Photoshop is my second camera." While I love classical art, I think that artists in the Twenty-first Century are obliged to push the limits of art. I am not a big fan of performance art, unless it is a written play that is being performed, or even impromptu performances of ad lib. I love interactive art and wish I had a studio so that I could do more with the ideas that I have. Maybe if I win some money or sell some works, then I can rent/buy that studio space that I need so badly.
I love living in Hollywood, California. It is a town in transition, from little walk-ups to high rises. It's full of colorful, sometimes frightening, characters. Maybe I'll see you around?
