I am a photographer of main streets and back roads, documenting the places and people I experience on my journeys. My work is influenced by my passion for discovery, a love of travel, and my desire to connect with the natural world. It reflects a "take the road less traveled" philosophy and Capra-esque outlook.
My journeys take me to American main streets where I can spotlight small businesses and reflect on a nostalgia that remains in busy, modern America. They also take me farther away from home. I am well on my way to exploring every continent, visiting out-of-the-way countries and encountering fascinating people and cultures.
I like to use unusual framing and multiple planes of perspective to bring a uniqueness to my images. Often I include reflections in water, windows, or mirrors. I enjoy making the viewer spend time with a resulting image to observe its subtleties and unusual composition.
My work has been included in exhibitions across New England including the Brush Art Gallery, Concord Art Association, Cambridge Art Association, Danforth Museum of Art, Galatea Fine Arts, and the Maine Media Gallery. In addition, I was one of 12 artists selected for the 15th annual PRC Juried Exhibition.
