
Chris Girard (also known by his pen name Christoph Girard) is a London-based artist and poet whose work explores embodiment, appropriation and self-expression on the internet. His work has appeared at the Digital Arts and Culture conference at University of California, Irvine; and published online and in print at DIAGRAM, Fourteen Hills, Moria Poetry and Shampoo Poetry. He has also completed an interactive version of his chapbook entitled TRY ME. which generates poems into spam email and a book of self-portraits entitled Christop, both of which are available on his website: www.chrisgirard.com.
As for his California connection, he holds two MFAs; one from Northern California and the other from Southern California. His first one is in Writing with an emphasis in Poetry from Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles; and the second one is in Digital Arts and New Media from University of California, Santa Cruz. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Arts and Computational Technology program at Goldsmiths, University of London.
