Petra Royale Bibeau is a writer currently based in Oakland, CA with an interest in emerging art/ists, alternative venues and exhibition models. Bibeau has contributed to NY Arts Magazine, Art Fairs International, Artweek, Stretcher.org and Shotgun Review, and collaborated with D.T.F.L.A. on Marginal, a (now defunct) handmade art zine reviewing emerging art in the Bay Area, LA and Brooklyn, NY. Bibeau currently directs MANIAC, an alternative space in Downtown Oakland, CA and is working on a essay length piece regarding the redevelopment of the alternative space in 2008/09.
