Nora Recepter

I was born in Quilmes, Buenos Aires, Argentina. I have lived there ever since. During the last few years I have been living between the noise of the city and the peace of Misiones province.

While I was in primary school, I started my path as a painter in Carlos Morel School with Celina, a teacher that introduced me to the pleasures of oil paintings and classical music.

I became a Chemistry Professor and during high school and my career, I used pencils as a way to express myself.

After many years, with the support of Martín Dieguez and Manuel Oliveira´s perspective, I got back on the path of painting with oils and I never abandon it again. As well I studied at the workshop Aberastury Gabriela, whom I consider my mentor and who I consider myself her disciple. I also analice paintings with Pereda Teresa, and participated during a year at Aizenberg Diana’s workshop. 

My painting went through different phases; abstract landscapes, expressionism, sensitive geometry, and now the mixture of all making them something different.
