Statement

Gala Knörr (Vitoria-Gasteiz, 1984) is a Spanish artist and recent Central Saint Martins College MA Fine Art graduate. Prior to this Knorr received a BFA in Fine Arts from Parsons School of Art and Design in Paris. Her work has been exhibited in Spain, France, England, Romania and the USA.

Her practice works within the concept of inter-connectivity between people, and the study of past and history to comprehend the present. Knorr takes real life images and icons, transforming them into surreal portraits and snapshots of youth subculture.
