I need to create art. This is my simply said, complicated motto which I have learned through extreme measures of being as I seek truth. I'm driven to fully understand everything I experience. However, I am aware of the irony of truths and the complexity of their perspectives. This deeply intrigues me while it frustrates me just the same. This is my experience of the arts in all its brilliant forms.
My approach in the studio—whether conscious or unconscious—builds through the unique experience of each work, whether in visual art or writing. I am attracted to a physical and or contextual juxtaposition of elements giving new meaning to our senses. The freedom of the abstract climate allows for truth, both for me and finally for the viewer. The experience is therefore flexible and wide-open if we allow for it. This is how life is and what impresses me most in the human condition.
