I've been drawing since I can remember. Most of the time I was supposed to be doing something else but I had to let out whatever that is inside me that demands my attention. I've been told I have an eye for detail. That's fine but detail is not always what I'm looking for. Image, feeling, meaning, illusion....? I don't know what to call it. I just like to draw!
I also love photography! I don't consider myself a great photographer but I also find that "something" in my photographs and I become inspired to continue.
My oil paintings were my bread and butter when I worked fulltime as an artist but I stopped doing them years ago because of space, time, smell, etc.etc. Now I am Painting in oil again and am very excited about it! We shall see.
I am a former art teacher and have shown my work at the Parthenon in Nashville as well as many other smaller venues. My work is in varied collections.
