Statement

Studio Jastrab is the web based repository for the drawing and mixed media works of

American born artist Jennifer Jastrab. With simple materials such as graphite pencils,

paper, pigment, and scouring pads, the artist builds a poetic reverie of images which

capture inner topographies of the human experience. Contemplation upon the natural

world, cartography, and personal geography contribute to the layered dialogues

apprehended through her intuitional work process.

The artist received her BFA from Rutgers University, Mason Gross School of the Arts

and her MFA in visual arts from John F. Kennedy University in Berkeley, CA.

Studio Jastrab is located in Oakland, California.
