After graduating from Skidmore College in 2008 with a degree in Art History and Studio Art, I moved to Manhattan to immerse myself in the art world. I have been working at artnet since 2008, constantly discussing and viewing art. In my own time I paint as much as I can, always challenging myself. I originally focused on portraits, and became infatuated with expressing people through their gaze, color, and application of paint. Lately, I have branched out into landscapes, a subject that never seemed personal enough for me to want to explore. However, through my expressive use of color and brush strokes, I have found a way to integrate the same emotional values that are in my portraits with my landscapes. I hope to continue making art, and to connect with people who will make this more possible for me.
