Daniel Clowes is a celebrated graphic novelist, screenwriter, and frequent cover artist for the New Yorker. His seminal anthology comic series Eightball ran from 1989 through 2004 and contains some of his best known stories, including Like a Velvet Glove Cast in Iron, David Boring, and Ghost World, which was released as a film directed by Terry Zwigoff in 2001, and earned Clowes an academy-award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay. He is currently working on adapting his latest book, Wilson, for the screen. Daniel lives in Oakland, California with his wife Erika and son Charles, and their beagle Ella.
