I blend my own painting and photography in order to create a digital collage print. With this technique, I am able to combine the sensual qualities of abstract paint with recognizable imagery captured by the camera. Using a computer photo manipulation program, I collage numerous layers of trees, leaves, clouds, scanned painted canvases and digital brush strokes. These layers are then integrated with regard to color, line and rhythm. The final result is a challenging yet harmonious perspective of the natural world.
