Statement

It is through gestural markings, minimalist coloring and the written word that I aim to reflect an immediate recognition of the human condition. Obscuring the symbols of language within the painting field, increasing or decreasing the light, and finding a path to demystify internal chaos sets up a release and relativity on a two dimensional plane. For it is despair, joy, fear, desire and truth most ardently that carries me through the painting process and the unending search for order and grace.
