Aesthetics have been radically changed over the last fifteen years by the commercialization of imagery through a means of instantaneous access through the Internet. The gradual economic enslavement of entire nation states by a persistent economic hegemony has demeaned the artifact into something appreciated physically by the lucky few. The rest of us must content ourselves with a distant view in near proximity through tiny pocket sized viewing screens that serve as this generation's, 'rose color glasses'.
The creation of imagery outside the realm of daily politics and cultural conditioning is a tenuous cliff where those who work in varied mediums both digital and traditional no precariously tread. The motivation of one's desire alone fueling them forth into an imperfect landscape where all but a few will be lucky enough to be taken up as worthy of second looks. Where the start of culture and civilization was once dependent upon the artist for its binding ties of seminal illusion the current iteration of same must vie with a vast industry of skilled professionals that move the human herd to and fro at the behest of corporate whim. This fact alone and in itself demands that something seriously significant and timely be offered by singularly produced works of art or alternately they must fall into an oblivion of all things rival and soon to be forgotten.
The many images and artifacts that I have brought forth over the last five decades have attempted to speak both to the intellect and subconscious of the viewer in many different mediums offering an uneasy perspective on the times that have inundated us all. They have been offered to the world at large as best as I have been able phrase them as an unflinching view through the necessarily imperfect vehicle of my own eye and point of view. In this sense of the eccentric these artifacts might some day evolve into something far and away more useful beyond any sense of solipsism for which they might have been originally intended.
