Artist Statement:
1 "airports provide the greatest captive audience of impulse buyers in the world. In that limbo between clearing passport control and waiting for a departure gate number, not only is time suspended, but very often judgement too."
The concept of my new work is flirting with bird houses, airports, & playgrounds.
The objects are shot in a non-traditional way using bright synthetic colors and motion sensor video. The false representation is reminiscent of what lighting and dreaming do to objects in an incoherent, surrealistic state.
