Eric Nyquist is a Los Angeles based artist originally from Turlock, a rural town in the California Central Valley. After graduating from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, Nyquist began a career as a working artist. Merging the natural and industrial into detailed drawings, Nyquist explores human empathy within a shifting panorama. With each drawing the viewer is forced to get up close to prospect overlooked details. Details that would normally be archival observations from a small aluminum fishing boat in the middle of a quiet lake, or similar environments. While the detail creates complex imagery, it also references increasing dependence on technology and its ability to distribute information.
Eric Nyquist work can be viewed in a variety of publications like Communication Arts, Caltech Undergraduate Research Journal and CMYK. Partial Client list includes Doug Aitken, NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Goldie Cosmetics, Smith & Cult, Walt Disney Consumer Products, Heineken USA, VIBE.
