Hello Seshadri, Thank you for the interest in my work. Curiously, I have never gotten much overtly negative response. Possibly my use if heavy texture leads the viewers towards a more intuitive field of perception unjaded by reactionary cultural prejudices. -Paul

Hello Paul, Greetings from Mumbai! I just happened to read your interview on Artslant and thought to quickly write a few words that came to my mind immediately. Please pardon me for taking the liberty of writing to you in this way. My initial reaction was-“Boy! These are awesome works”. One really needs guts and conviction and extraordinary imagination to paint in a single colour BLACK!! Not one or two. Very many! I instantly got attracted to your mixed media in Black. But one disturbing thought came to my mind. Painting in pure black is not considered aesthetic –at least in the western world in so far as my limited knowledge goes. It is said that the Black painting will look like a HOLE in the wall. So, my question is, How are you able to erase such comments from the art scenario surrounding you and what made you paint in Black. I have tried to paint in black many times and have failed miserably.!! I am also painter and have entered the June showcase with an oil painting “ Echo of Eco” which deals with a subject on everybody’s lips, namely-“Clean & Green Environment” I would welcome you to visit my site and let me have your comment and thoughts Thank for your time. Cheers Seshadri
