Prashant Pandey

Prashant Pandey was born in 1984, Jaipur, India and holds an M.F.A in Sculpture from the Faculty of Fine Arts, M.S. University, Baroda, India and a B.F.A. in Sculpture from Rajasthan University, Jaipur, India. Prashant has received the Lalit Kala Academy Award twice as well as the Bhupen Burman Award. He had his first solo show, ‘Shelf-Life’ curated by Abhay Maskara in 2010 at Gallery Maskara, Mumbai, India. He was selected by the faculty at M.S. University, Baroda for a residency at the prestigious Ecole des Beaux-Arts, France where he was an artist in residence until February 2011 and in September 2011, his work was exhibited at (M)other India, Galerie du Jour – Agnès B, Paris, France.  Pandey is participating in group exhibitions at the India Art Fair, New Delhi and the VIP Art Fair 2.0 (online), in 2012. The artist lives and works in Jaipur, India.
