Statement

No art degree, but not self-taught either. Classes with Elmer Bischoff, Geroge Miyasaki, Kenjilo Nanao, Raymond Saunders, Lee Altman, Robin McCloskey, John Edwards, Kazuko Watanabe, among others.

I maintain my studio is West Oakland, where I work mostly on paper: collage, monotypes, monoprints, etchings, photomosaics.

My art interests include: color, place, space, politics. Pleasing to the eye with political undercurrents. Visual meditations. Relationship between art and science. Vis a vis “Art for Physicists”. “Art and the Scientific Method”

Ways of looking: not interpreting art, but changing one’s focus/focal point to see image/color/shape differently.

Represented by SFMOMA Artists' Gallery and Kala Art Institute and, of course, myself.
