Liberty E. Moore - born 1955 at Düsseldorf/Germany - is a latestarter who emerged from his fathers shadow, a renowned set-designer, first slowly, but then with increasing speed. Grewing up with prussian virtues and in an easy Rhineland atmosphere,he passed the academy for Art and Design at Düsseldorf. In order to learn his living, young Moore entered the stage of commercial art, the art of sales - the advertising world. Altough he did not begin as a “dishwasher“, he got to know each section of the creative "elites" - from draughtsman up to Group-Head Art.
In 1990 he began to work with acryl and oil. His early works were created in the time between 1990 - 1993.First he worked in an abstract way and did experimented with different materials - from metal to plastics to form variable metamorphoses of creations. Later he went over to the placative style - that kind that he had worked with as creative designer.Inspired by the powerful strong colors and forms of the Pop-Art artists he created and designed his impressions of the world in pictures of people, as coquetry full of relish, in melancholy dreaming or as critical dealing. All his works are showing positive, clear and powerful colors and colored elements.
Moore does not see himself as a philosophical artist, but as a freelance creative."Art is advertising - Advertising is art". At least we are living from the art, so it must fit together - Art and Commerce! The people must attracted it", describes it Moore. Based on this conviction it is not a break for him - besides his free work - to create and realize ideas for Indoor-Designers, private clients so as business companies too. Moore works traditionally as digitally too. With acrylics on canvas, Airbrush, Ad-markers and with the Apple. Experienced in working foragencies and clients he knows what to do - as after briefing or with sketches for a customers idea.
Pin Ups are his great obsession. Inspired by the great ones of the pin-up art, as Mel Ramos, Alberto Vargas and Al Moore he has beside his Pop-Artpaintings his work closely focused on the erotic effect of female representation. He likes women, the aesthetics of her bodies in their lasciviousness and very cool seduction - in his imagination. And agrees with Mel Ramos who declared:"I´m in favor of art that attacks the eye, I love exciting moments"
