Christophe Canato is borne in 1966 in France. He lives and works in Perth since 2005.
Christophe did les Beaux Arts in France and completed a DNSEP comparable to an Australian Master Bachelor degree of Arts. lecturer in Art and Design in France from 2001 to 2004.
His work articulates the notion of discovery, perception and interpretation of the human being in the social, cultural and material environment.
Looking back on the ponderings and the auto-educational experiments of our childhood, we understand that the motivation of this artist is to exploit souvenirs and also the attachment we have to the objects and their memory. Christophe Canato's photographs invite us to contemplate our everyday life, offering us a multitude of feelings based on the phenomena of synaesthesia.
Christophe Canato’s work is included in public and private collections in Australia as well as in Europe.
