Mino Agento, is an Italian artist, born in Rome in January 5, 1927. He lived there until 1969 when he moved to New York City.
Argento has moved away from his early white and grey compositions into color. It is so incorporated that it is a subject in his work. He uses a shimmering palette in which the colors are as juxtaposed as his shapes. Argento creates different moods within each work through his use of color. He enjoys contrasting the hardness and the aridity of penciled lines with sensuous layers of oil.
Argento has exhibited in 60's, 70's and 80's. Los Angeles, New York, Rome, France. Among the galleries where he has shown are OK Harris And Betty Parsons.
