Born and raised in Japan, Aska Iida completed her undergraduate studies at the National School of Painting, Sculpture and Printmaking “La Esmeralda” in Mexico City. She has shown her work at La Estacion Arte Contemporaneo in Chihuahua Mexico, 643 Project Space in Ventura, CA, Geisai #13 in Japan, Raid Projects in Los Angeles, and Royal-T Cafe in Culver City, CA. She is also a member of the artist collective Cacahuates Japoneses, whose work has been exhibited at Laboratorio Arte Alameda in Mexico City, Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires, and the Brussels Biennial Off Program in Belgium.
