Daniel was born in San Francisco and has moved back and forth from Taiwan and the United States throughout his life. His favorite places in the world include Paris, Barcelona, and Prague. If you were to ask his friends, they would tell you that he is a self-absorbed, stubborn, asshole, but who cares about their opinions anyway.
Besides spending the weekends drinking away sobriety, Daniel spends most of the week holed up in his studio trying to make art, huffing poisonous fumes, and being a general degenerate. He works with acrylics, oils, spray paint, ink, water color, and markers, but the list is always expanding.
Graduating from UC Davis in 2006 with a B.A. in English and a minor in Fine Art, he struck out into the corporate world only to find disillusion and monotony. Taking his savings and his stupid little dream, he is now going to the art school, much to his parents displeasure. So much for the law school idea.
Working with a blend of dreamscapes, portraits, figures, and a reoccuring set of graffitti characters, his work explores love, lust, rage, bliss and everything else in between. He wishes that he could travel across the world, but with the costs of materials, his weekend binges, and a lack of self-discipline, the only vacation time he will probably be able to procure is in sunny Tijuana.
